Hi and thank you for visiting Candlebright!!

We are Beth, Nev and our brilliant toddler Violet.

So in 2018 I had a baby and I wasn’t really doing anything  for myself – no hobbies and little “me” time. After spending 31 years mostly thinking about myself it was a bit of a change! I then hit a rough patch with little work coming in so I needed to get creative about how I was going to improve the situation, thinking about what I could do that would be fun enough to feel like a hobby and could fit really well around Violet.

Combining my love of colour, jazzy stuff and trying to not have a musty smelling home, I decided to start making melts and candles first as a hobby, forcing them on people as birthday presents. Then I thought, actually these are pretty good… and I was having a great time faffing about with glitter and flouncing around like a tortured artist. So I got Nev doing all of the hard techy stuff… And in April 2019 Candlebright was officially born!

I will never produce anything that I don’t love and that I wouldn’t use myself. I  want my products to be as kind as possible, so I reuse anything that I can (packaging I am sent, old jars etc), use recyclable materials and source ethical, cruelty-free supplies wherever possible. I am determined not to purchase and use any single-use plastics from the very start so you won’t be receiving anything in layers and layers of new bubble wrap. I only use quality supplies from quality suppliers because I want to produce good quality products. I have loads of ideas and plans and I’m really excited to share them with you all in the future – candles will be coming just as soon as I’ve got them just right!
